Situated in a bowl high above the Continental Divide at 13,050 ft (4000 m), Arapahoe Basin is said to be the highest skiable terrain in North America. Due to its high elevation, the ski season here is long and frequently extends into June and occasionally July or August.
Although only 900 skiable acres (450 ha) in size, this bowl offers challenging terrain with 40% of runs designated as 'expert', 45% as intermediate and the remaining 15% as beginner.
On-site accommodations are not available at the base of the mountain but a host of lodging choices exists in Keystone.
